"19th Century Hand Painted Mercury Thermometer/barometer, Made By Bianchi (toulouse)"

Mercury thermometer/barometer from the first half of the 19th century. Barthélémy-Urbain BIANCHI (1821-1898), engineer-optician, distinguished himself many times by serving the interests of science. He was thus rewarded with a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1855. He was also decorated Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in 1862 and Officer in 1872.
