"Afghan Rug Kargai Design Heriz Serapi"
Afghanistan is one of the main producers of handmade carpets in the world. Afghan rugs are authentic, charming and generally incredibly inexpensive. Oddly elongated human and animal figures are their signature.
Most weavers in Afghanistan are Ersari Turkman.

Tribal rugs are almost always made on the horizontal or floor loom. This is due to the fact that nomads rarely stay in one place for more than two months. A Turkmen woman will usually take at least six months to complete a rug, so the loom may be set up and taken down four to six times before a rug or kelim is finished.
The color of Afghan rugs is predominantly red (the madder root of modern plants ranges from red to orange to brown.

On this model, connoisseurs will recognize the design of one of the most sought-after Persian rugs by collectors, which is the rug from the Hériz region with the most attractive design, says Serapi!
