"- Fragonard - My Shirt Burns! - Engraved 1788 Augustin Legrand With Water - Forte -"
- Printed with small margins, like the piece in possession of the Carnavalet museum, our engraving is dated in the plate "November 1788" while the museum announces January 1789.... - Well referenced in the "Manuel de l'Amateur d' Prints" of 1854, the engraver Augustin Legrand called himself: Legrand - Furey, hence the annotation "L. D furey" which appears at the bottom right, in the plate - - this etching measures 29.5 x 38 cm. with the small margins - - note a tiny lack on the top margin and the lower right corner which is rounded, unlike the other corners, then we see dirt on the engraved text part at the bottom -
