Rare and beautiful pair of Louis XV period caned armchairs, one of which is stamped Antoine Bonnemain, born around 1725, received Master on July 18, 1753, second half of the 18th century. The armchairs that we present have the same architecture while being different on the backrest and the armrests. Probably by the same hand, they have the particularity of being very deep and wide, able to accommodate the large basket dresses of ladies of the aristocracy of the 18th century. Fine flower sculptures on the backrest and large acanthus leaves on the falls of the feet complete the decor. The wood used is beech. Usual restoration. Private collection. History: Nicknamed the young man to distinguish him from his brother Pierre, he worked in rue Saint-Nicolas.
