"Jean-emile Laboureur "on The Thames" Very Rare Original Wood 1914 Signed N°27/35"
LABOUREUR (Jean-Emile). On the Thames. Original wood (365 x 295 mm, margins 460 x 380 mm). Proof very slightly insolated at the level of the passe-partout, otherwise perfect. Copy of the 1914 edition numbered and signed by Laboureur, here N°27/35, proof on Arches (only N°1, printed in 1913, is on Japan), only one known state, the copy on Japan does not show no difference. The plank on wood of wire is preserved in the Museum of Gravelines. This board was also printed in number (certainly 610 copies) in 1924 as a bonus for the magazine Byblis, the print is in this case not numbered or signed. Very rare in numbered and signed edition. This board was made for an album project; it was to accompany a text taken from La Petite Femme, by Abel Hermant, one of the short stories from Scenes of Cosmopolitan Life. The project did not succeed. Ref. library. : Sylvain Laboureur, Jean-Emile Laboureur, Individual engravings and lithographs, 696.
