Object description :

"Louis Icart "aréole Granuleuse" Original Etching From "vie Des Seins" 1/60 On Japan"
Louis ICART. Grainy Areola - The Life of Boobs. Large original unsigned color etching on Japanese paper (size of the sheet: 450 x 277 mm), representing the bust of a naked woman. Presented in a cream mat 600 x 400 mm ready to be framed, the view being protected by a Rhodoïd. Original vertical central fold (double folded plate in the book), otherwise very good condition. This magnificent etching by Louis Icart (1888-1950) comes from the book "La Vie des Seins" by Doctor Jacobus [Jacques Brededin, under the pseudonym of], Paris, Georges Guillot, 1945. This edition, illustrated with 15 original etchings out of text, 200 copies were printed (10 on Japan super pearly, 60 on Japan including 10 artist's and 130 on Arches). We found one of the 10 artist's copies on Japan, unfortunately incomplete of an etching, hence the sale of this print individually (it is not in our ethics to "break" a work when this one is complete!). It is one of the 5 insets on a double board, to our taste, the most beautiful of the book.
