Very small snag in the top crown, missing closing ribbons, first and last white pages browned by contact with the acid endpapers, slight veil of insolation on the text pages, rare foxing, very fine copy.
Second volume (of 2) of Wagner's Ring Cycle “The Ring of the Nibelung” illustrated by Rackham, complete for Siegfried. Printed by Ballantyne & Co in London. 1 of the 350 numbered copies on shaped vellum (N°53) signed in black ink by Arthur Rackham on the receipt, only large paper after 40 Imperial Japan.
30 illustrations by Arthur Rackham, printed in color on coated paper, mounted on strong brown vellum, protected by scrolls captioned in bistre. Vignettes, bands and tailpieces in black.
