This bronze sculpture after Andrea del Verrocchio (1435-1488) represents the famous Bartolomeo Colleoni, Italian Condottiere (Leader of an army of mercenaries). He devoted himself mainly to the defense of Venice. On the Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice, perched on a high pedestal, stands this equestrian statue representing a character with a proud and triumphant look. Beautiful dark patina in the style of the 15th century. W/D/H: 35 X 19 X 37 cm. L/D of the base: 25 X 11 cm. Weight 7.8 kg.
