"Boin & Taburet - Rare Trivet In Sterling Silver With Openwork Gallery"
. Trivet in solid silver stamped in full by the master goldsmiths Boin and Taburet (TABURET-BOIN). This very beautiful and elegant support rests on three arched legs whose stylized foliage spreads out around the contours. It thus forms an openwork gallery interrupted by three cartridges, richly decorated with shells and flowers. This piece is very significant of the work of these goldsmiths who liked to mix rockery, still very popular at the end of the 19th century, with their lively and dense expression in naturalistic illustration. Hallmark 1st title (950/1000) on the outline as well as on the spacer and stamp of the goldsmiths Boin and Taburet. Rare and elegant model that delicately protects a dish from the heat and places it with refinement at eye level with all the guests seated. Height - Height: 7.3 cm. / 2. 87 in. Circle diameter: 19 cm / 7. 48 in. Sterling silver weight - Solid silver weight: 406 Gr. Micro-scratches from use, excellent conditions.
