I. E. Krachkovsky - Polish-Russian landscape painter . Father of the poet Dmitry Klenovsky . Born July 3, 1854 in Warsaw (in some sources - in St. Petersburg). He began attending the Imperial Academy of Arts in 1871 as a freelance student; Professor Baron M. K. Klodt was his main mentor. In 1878 he was awarded a small gold medal for the painting: "Morning", and the following year - a large gold medal and the title of artist of the 1st degree for the painting " Evening ". In 1880 he was sent to state account abroad for further improvement. Visited Berlin , Düsseldorf , Munich , Milan and Madrid , settled in Paris and traveled from there for artistic purposes. He returned to St. Petersburg in 1884 ; for his works performed abroad, he was recognized as an academician. Personal exhibitions of Krachkovsky took place in: St. Petersburg, Paris, Nice etc. In 1913 he entered the Society of A. I. Kuindzhi. He died on April 18, 1914 in the town of Cadenabia on Lake Como, Italy. Buried at the Smolenskoye Orthodox Cemetery; the grave is lost. The artist's works are in numerous museums and private collections.
