"Pair Of Bronze Candlesticks, Restoration Period - Early Nineteenth"
Charming pair of candlesticks in gilt bronze and black patina, with foliage decoration and refined hock feet. The removable candle holder features falling leaves above floral and beaded friezes. Delicate oves also adorn the top of the barrel. In the center of the candlestick, a crown in gilded bronze surmounts beautiful volutes in relief. The base, also in gilded bronze, has a garland of pearls, stylized leaves in relief and an elegant ridged collar. These Restoration candlesticks are distinguished by their tripod base finely sculpted in clawed lion shank. They seduce with their unique shape and their undeniably trendy two-tone hue. ******** Period: Early 19th century Excellent condition. Additional photos available on request.
