"Pierre Ambrogiani"
Bouquet of tulips and irises in a vase. Pierre Ambrogiani was born in Marseilles into a modest family in 1907, he became a postman before becoming a painter, a job he practiced in his studio located on the Quai Rive-Neuve in Marseille. Of a jovial character he is surrounded by faithful friends, Pagnol, Giono, Seyssaud who encourage him. His canvases are luminous, they paint many landscapes, and still lifes in very bright colors. He died in 1985. The painting is painted on its original canvas, in perfect condition. Signed lower right.
