Gaston Agricol Ploquin, born December 19, 1882 in Lyon and died in the same city on September 5, 1970, was a French painter and draftsman, student at the School of Fine Arts in Lyon, then painter and decorator Louis Bardey (1851-1915) Gaston Ploquin exhibited in Lyon from 1900 and participated in various Salons Ivonnais. In Lyon and during his travels in nearby Burgundy and the Côte d'Azur, he made sketches and paintings of landscapes on the ground. Faithful to the traditional style taught at the academy, he painted landscapes, flowers, historical scenes and still lifes. Some of his works are kept at the Museum of Fine Arts in Lyon. Gaston Ploquin is the father of the painter René Ploquin. Gouache signed lower left Format at sight: 14 x 14 cm with frame: 28 x 28 cm
