Very beautiful oil on wood panel signed by the French artist Alfred Victor Fournier (1872-1924). The painting presented here bears a label on the back "La baie de Concarneau". It is signed lower right and dated 1910. Alfred Victor Fournier was born in Paris in 1872 and died in the same city in 1924. Painter of landscapes, seascapes, beach scenes, urban landscapes, he was a pupil of Albert Maignan (1845-1908). He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, of which he became a member in 1901. He received an award in 1902 and a bronze medal in 1906. He is particularly known for his seaside paintings in Brittany.
