"18th Century Oratory"
Touraine, early 18th century, oratory in blond walnut decorated with raised panels underlined with black edging. Coming from a religious community, the piece of furniture is built in two parts connected by tenons with iron reinforcements at the back. It opens with a door in the lower part and a flap, has its period locks with a key. The upper part is strongly molded and lends itself to accommodating a painting or a crucifix.
