"Bronze Art Deco Signed Fugère"
Magnificent old French Art Deco bronze sculpture. A young girl serenaded, a dancing lamb, by the sculptor Henry Fugère (1872-1944), bearing his signature on the terrace and dating from the 1920s/1930s. This superb sculpture features the remarkable figure of a naked maiden playing two horns while a lamb dances, mounted on a rectangular portor marble plinth. (marble chipping) This high quality solid hot cast bronze was produced using the traditional 'lost wax' process, otherwise known as the 'lost wax' method. This is a splendid bronze sculpture and is sure to become the centerpiece of your Art Deco collection.
