"Bas-relief Joséphine De Beauharnais"
Portrait sculpted in low relief of Joséphine de Beauharnais (1763-1814) who was the first wife of Napoleon 1st, empress from 1763 to 1814. She is shown in profile in imperial dress, smiling. The finely crafted sculpture is set against a dark green velvet background within a rectangular gilt leaf wood frame. Frame: 12 X 10cm Velvet: 8.5 x 7cm: Bas relief: 6.5 x 4.3cm Good condition.
