Large Oil Painting On Panel 17th Century
We present for sale this superb painting on oak panel, very large, 17th century period, signed by the Dutch painter Claes Jansz van der WILLENGEN. WILLENGEN was born in Rotterdam around 1630 and died in the same city on September 23, 1676 at only 46 years old. So few works of this painter circulate from him. He painted a lot of landscapes in the Rhine valley, moreover our landscape which is animated by characters and riders is one of them. The modern frame we developed in our workshop, very successful from the rest. This painting comes from our personal collection, I insist on the fact that it is of an unusual size, large panel format 107 cm in length and 73 cm in width. (E23)
