"Landscape Painting By Louis Appian"

For the 2nd time in a few weeks we present an oil on canvas representing a landscape by Louis APPIAN who was none other than the son of Adolphe APPIAN, painter of the Lyonnaise school known and recognized. His son Louis lived very little since he died at age 34 of tuberculosis 1862/1896. It had an impressionist touch, although it was never referenced as such. The painting is signed and dated. (E23)
