This medallion reproduces the right part of an element of the decor originally located in the main courtyard of the Hôtel de Bourbon-Condé in Paris, built from 1780.
The subject, much appreciated by the public, is declined throughout the 19th century in numerous versions in terracotta, plaster, marble and bronze. Unsigned, stamp on the back and number, beautiful patina of use.
