Sumptuous Pair of Candlesticks in chiseled and gilded bronze in the Louis XV rococo style, Middle XIXth Century in the spirit of the Models of Meissonnier. Beautifully made and very finely chiseled and hammered with its superb original gilding with mats and shine. (Cleaned by us) Architecture of the Candlestick: with a Magnificent and rich scalloped base with steps and projections and with numerous moldings, with three clips of shells and stylized acanthus leaves, shape of the top of the base with bell and decorations of braces, shells and floral scrolls, and circular row of gadroons. Beautiful swirling central barrel on a shower stand with descending and ascending elements with three butterflies in the upper part, decorated with volutes and stylized acanthus leaves elaborated in a permanent movement of great beauty and finesse. Superb binet for candle on foot shower with hexagonal shape and twisted sides and acanthus leaves with windings. Bowl with basin very richly decorated on both sides with scrolls and various foliage.
