First half of the 19th century Provence Flat skirt in red cotton twill with thin blue stripes. Cotton twill background identical to the jeans blue invented by Denim (De Nîmes) which were and remain above all work clothes. Vegetable dyeing of the cotton threads before weaving, probably in cochineal red and indigo blue. This skirt disassembled and complete, bear the traces of hems and assembly of the size, in particular by two holes in the edges in which the drawstring was passed.
