BLULER FLAME OF THE BATTALION OF HUNTERS ON FOOT OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, Second Empire. Double-sided flame in dark blue cloth, square shape 35.5 cm x 35.5 cm without the fringes, embroidered in the center in daffodil cotton thread with an "N" surmounted by the imperial crown, H of the embroidered part 15.8 cm, width 15 cm. The flame is edged with a 1.6 cm wide daffodil braid, sewn 2.4 cm from the edge of the flame. It is bordered on three sides with 7.2 cm long daffodil fringes. In the upper part, the flame forms a sheath reinforced by a fine whale. On either side are sewn a brass half-bell button and a daffodil cloth placket lined with light brown calfskin, width of the placket 2 cm, length 6.5 cm. France. Second Empire. Good condition, some moth holes repaired.
