"Dressing Table Dressing Table Kidney Shape, Thuja Burl And Gilt Bronze, Late XIX"
Very beautiful dressing table or dressing table in the shape of a kidney in mahogany and cedar burl for the top and the sides. This is a chic model out of the ordinary with a very high quality gilt bronze mount. On either side of the pivoting oval mirror, gilt bronze mounts adorned with acanthus leaves and male and female busts. These bronzes have the rare particularity of being provided with candlesticks. The top is in cedar burl veneer, it is surrounded by a bronze mold. A drawer opens like a band. The 4 feet end in a bronze shoe. Very good house condition, very shiny original gilding. The top has some very slight lacks in the middle of the veneer. Furniture similar to the creations of cabinetmakers Mercier Frères. Fragile furniture, I would prefer to avoid delivery by carrier, contact me for a delivery quote. Period late 19th century around 1890-1900
