Patinated bronze sculpture representing a whistling boy. The young man with the dreamy gaze and relaxed pose holds his hands in his pockets and indulges in the whistle (perhaps a nice melody that has come to mind). Halfdan Hertzberg (1857-1890), bronze, late 19th century. Halfdan Hertzberg (1857-1890) was a Norwegian sculptor whose most famous sculpture is the Whistler, which he displayed at an exhibition in 1889.
