Superb and rare late 16th century powder flask from the south of France or Italy. trapezoidal in shape, it is composed of a wooden body covered with shagreen and decorated on the sides with 2 openwork and gilded brass plates finely chiseled with a decoration of amphoras supported and framed by atlantes. The top includes the brass spout with an iron shutter. Work of high quality and in excellent state of preservation, restoration to the rear spout, a real nice collector's item
