Samarcande carpet made of wool, dating from the 1950s and originating from the border between China and Russia. From a design inspired by Russian and Chinese cultures, which is typical of the province of Samarkand located on the Silk Road, on the border of these two countries. In the past, caravanners who used this route bought these carpets woven by local artisans during the long winters and sold them in the market of Samarkand. Made in the tradition of pure wool from the sheep called HETIAN, this type of breeding is specific to the region of the same name.
