Floor lamp by Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, rather rare model because the first created by the couple of designers recognizable by its very sober feet, in my opinion the most successful. Dimensions: Base 40x40 Height 170cm Period: around 1950 - 1960. Condition: the floor lamp is in good general condition, slight wear consistent with age and use. Few minor and very discreet flaws with very slight decolorations. The electrification is original in good condition also with a cable length of 3m with switch. The socket is bayonet. The glass sphere is intact. HISTORY: Audoux-Minet was a manufacturer of garden furniture, terraces and high-end lounges in rattan, bamboo and raffia rope. The absence of a catalog of the Audoux-Minet house only allows a partial knowledge of their productions. We do know, however, that it was certainly during their honeymoon that Adrien Audoux, originally from Franche-Comté, and Frida Minet, originally from Switzerland, decided to set up their business in Cannes in 1929. In 1942, the company moved to Golfe-Juan not far from Vallauris. In the 1940s and 1950s, the designer couple offered original and modern furniture in natural materials for the wealthy clientele of the Riviera (Côte d'Azur). Pierre Bianchi took over the reins of the House in 1965 while continuing to create the same type of modernist furniture. The company closed its doors permanently in the 1990s.
