Beautiful old painting from the end of the 19th century, oil on canvas signed lower left Gabriel Mathieu, titled on the back on the frame "A path on the edge of the Creuse in Gargilesse", representing two young women posing, one mounted on a donkey, in a wooded landscape, bordered by the Creuse. An old small restoration on the left edge and in the sky, varnish and original canvas, the upper right edge slightly distended, all in good condition, see photos.
