"Mahogany Dessert Console Louis XVI Period"
Console table in mahogany and mahogany veneer, Louis XVI period opening with a frieze drawer and two side drawers. It is topped with veined white marble surrounded by an openwork and gilded bronze gallery and rests on four baluster feet with rudent fluted joints joined by a mahogany crotch shelf. The set is decorated with finely chiseled and gilded bronzes: pearls, pull handles, rosettes embellished with a flower and foliage and keyhole decorated with a crown of oak leaves tied by a knot. Beautifully crafted 18th century Parisian work that can be attributed to Joseph Schey or Conrad Mauter.
