"Exceptional Curved Wardrobe All Faces, Louis XV Period"
Sumptuous and Exceptional LOUIS XV period trouser cabinet curved on all sides... Remarkable work of cabinetmaking as well as ironwork... Its cornice has a policeman's hat, strongly curved on its three sides... Its high crosspiece is sculpted with foliage on either side, with a sculpture in the center representing the coat of arms of a prestigious family... It opens with two leaves with four molded panels carved with flowers and foliage in the center of the movements, the frame is also sculpted just like the uprights... In the lower part is the "trouser dresser" in a curved "convex and concave" tomb shape, opening with three drawers, two in the upper part and a central one in the lower part, a molding is on each drawer forming four cartouches... A remarkable work of ironwork forming scallop shells above the pull handles as well as in the center of the keyhole of the drawer in the lower part..., the lard cards, the locks, keyholes and interior cremones are original and exceptional. The sides are curved for the wardrobe part with a movement in the upper part, as well as a molded and sculpted movement in the center of the sides... For the sides of the lower part of the "trousers" chest of drawers, they are curved again "convex and concave" which is extremely rare. The lower crosspieces on the sides are scalloped and molded, and for the one on the front it is carved with a decoration of foliage and a scallop shell in its center... All resting on four elegant little strongly arched snail feet... South-West LOUIS XV period (circa 1750) . Exceptional wardrobe in 100% original condition...!
