"Pastel Landscape By Carlos Reymond"
Superb landscape pastel by Carlos REYMOND (1884-1970), French painter and engraver, he is of Spanish descent born in Paris and died in Nice. By his marriage he was the son-in-law of Henri Lebasque. He quickly settled in Saint-Tropez in the south where he painted most of his works. This pastel represents a body of water against a background of vegetation. The colors have remained very bright and luminous, the signature is almost erased on the left side and the whole is presented in a period gilded wooden frame.
