"Commode Transition Stamped Daidef"
Elegant Transition style chest of drawers in rosewood, rosewood and mahogany marquetry, decorated with a frieze of interlacing flowers and cubes, concave sides, double projection front decorated with a flowered basket and ribboned knot, opening with three drawers, two without crossbars, pull handles in the shape of laurel wreaths and keyholes surmounted by ribbons in gilded and chiseled bronze. Amounts with canted sides embellished with gilded bronze trim representing pilasters supporting garlands, resting on ringed sheath feet and finished with bronze clogs, crosspiece adorned with a bronze apron. Gray veined white molded marble top. High quality work, stamped Daidef, period around 1900. Width 110.5cm Height 93.5cm Depth 51cm
