Oil on canvas mounted on hardboard by André Fons-Godail, Catalan painter and watercolourist. Landscape of nature, fields and olive trees. Fons-Godail was born in Perpignan in 1871 into a modest family. Annual exhibitions at the Salle Arago from 1921 to 1925 with countryside landscapes and Perpignan market gardens. In 1937 he participated in the international exhibition in Paris and was appointed curator at the museum of Perpignan. Then numerous annual exhibitions still in the Arago room until 1949. Death in 1954 in Perpignan. After starting out as a watchmaker, Fons Godail became the official painter of the St Jacques gardens. he is also curator of the city theater and professor at the municipal school of fine arts.
