Lovely oil on canvas entitled La Nuque and signed by Théo Van Cleef, a 20th century painter specializing in genre scenes and bouquets of flowers. The subject is unusual since it represents, from the back, the top of the bust of a young blonde woman with a haughty head carriage, wearing an elegant bun revealing a slender neck. The young woman, whose gaze is turned towards a bouquet of flowers, seems to be wearing only a pair of ear pendants. It emerges from this very beautiful painting a great sensuality, all in modesty and in reserve. This painting is nicely framed in a gilded frame, underlined by an elegant green velvet braid.
