Paris, Impr-Gérant Lenepveu, 58 rue Dulong, sd [December 1899].
Color lithograph poster printed on very fragile newsprint (652 x 500 mm).
Small marginal tears without loss.
This poster represents Marie-Georges Picquart as a camel. It is part of the famous series of anti-Dreyfusard, nationalist, anti-Masonic and anti-Semitic caricature posters published between 1899 and 1900, all drawn, not without talent, by Victor Lenepveu. The series was to have 200 issues; only 52 posters of the "Musée des Horreurs" and 5 posters of the additional series "Le Musée des Patriotes" were created. These posters, given the very fragile and breakable support, are very difficult to find in good condition.
NB: the label visible in the photo is stuck on the protective sleeve, not on the poster itself, of course!
