* Beginning of the 20th century *
I found this model of mascot in an old sales catalog which specified that this mascot was signed Charles; our mascot, although identical, does not bear any apparent signature.
It was mounted on a bronze base (posterior) in imitation of a radiator cap in order to present it in "situation".
The sculpture of the greyhound shows the marks of a well-crafted old cast, so it is much earlier than the bronze support. In good condition; you will nevertheless notice dark spots of oxidation of the bronze, especially on one side; personally I find that this does not affect the character of the object, it testifies to its history, to the time when this mascot adorned the hood of a car which was to be the pride of its owner.
