Originally from Italy, he arrived in Belgium at the age of 16. We are in 1948. He learned pottery in Italy and trained with artisan potters in Rebaix then in Dour. In 1953, The Abbey of Maredsous took him on trial for a few days. He spent his life there and ran the ceramics workshop there for several decades. He fashioned utilitarian objects including the famous Maredsous mug, but it is in his creations more personal than all his talent manifests. He creates unique pieces, pots, vases and the famous "drops" that will become his trademark. These spherical art objects of simple appearance, pierced with a single small hole n have the sole function of flattering the eye.
