Firefighter artillery officer's helmet from the Kingdom of Prussia, second half of the 19th century.

Helmet entirely in black lacquered leather. Round bomb, visor and neck cover with protruding edges. Crest with aerator for Feld artillery (removable ball absent), fixed on a base in the shape of a pattée cross riveted by four half-spherical rivets. Red leather band going around the helmet, with an officer's cockade on the front. Interior of nine-tooth brown leather cap. Chin strap in black leather. Good condition. size 55cm. In service at the dawn of the First World War of 14/18.
