Drawn and enhanced with gouache, these two anemones are accompanied for one by butterflies and for the other by a fly and a bee. They are painted with great care in detail, and could be the work of a naturalist or an 18th century entomologist, they evoke the work of Buffon and the engravings of his famous "Natural History". These two gouaches, surrounded by a golden thread, are made on silk laminated on Velin d'Arches. La Roche Lafitte was born in 1943, this is the only information we could find about him. 20th century period. They are numbered 1 and 10, titled “Anemonum” and signed lower right. The frame is made of a modern strip of natural wood. Dimensions: frame 72.5 cm x 52.5 cm, view 51.5 cm x 37.5 cm.
