"Diane Chasseresse" Large Medallion in Silver Bronze signed "Germain Jean Baptiste" Sculptor Founder L. Oudry First edition. Dating from the 19th Century 1867 Jean-Baptiste Germain was born on December 28, 1841 in Fismes, France. His brother Gustave Germain (1843-1909) was also a sculptor He studied under the sculptors Auguste Dumont (1801-1884) and Charles-Alphonse Gumery) 1827-1871) at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Paris Salon of 1866 and 1909.
