Lovely and interesting Tondo in majolica representing St Francis and the child Jesus. Region of Gubbio, north of Rome near Assisi. Region known for its production of earthenware with iridescent enamel. Around 1530. signed 19cm in diameter. broken in two, restoration left visible on the back. rare!
