Pair of small cassolettes or pot-à-feus in the shape of a frustoconical handle, with rudent grooves (on one side only), and topped with a flame. On a black marble base with double moldings from a later period. Height 25 cm with base. Gilded bronze. French work around 1770 - 1780 These pretty cassolettes, in very good condition, were probably originally part of a larger object such as an andiron, for example.
