Album of 10 erotic prints of Japanese spirit (Shunga) published at the expense of "Friends of Japanese Art".
Slndné. (circa 1920), 1 portfolio of 10 prints on pearly Japan inserted in a folder decorated with birds in a silver-printed vegetation, all under cover of paper with geometric patterns bearing a long label with Japanese characters on the lower cover . Dimensions of the prints: 330 x 250 - dimensions of the cover: 394 x 277.
Very small lack of paper on the cover, scorched folder, prints in perfect condition.
Set of 10 erotic black line prints in the spirit of Japanese Shunga.
The cartridge title has not been translated. We find, stuck in the lining of the cover, a label printed in French, bearing this inscription: "This Album, published at the expense of the "Amis de l'Art Nippon", was printed in 10 illuminated copies, numbered from 1 to 10; 190 copies on Japan nacre, numbered from 11 to 200; 12 copies from collaborators, numbered from I to XII. Copy 13".
Despite a relatively large print run, we found absolutely nothing about this album, nor about the "Friends of Nippon Art"; neither in the main bibliographies, nor on the worldcat, nor on the net. We therefore believe that the print was not completely printed.
In any case, this collection is not lacking in charm!
