Splendid sixteenth-century sculptures representing Saints Peter and Paul with their attributes and probably performed by a skilled marble sculptor active in the entourage of those workers at the service of the papal court. The modeling of these sculptures is characterized by a certain artistic acumen, in fact only the frontal and more characteristic parts are worked and finished, the other parts are left in the virgin state of the piece of marble which shows brilliance and its natural veins.
