Rare Pair of early 18th century Sterling Silver Candlesticks with octagonal bases just like the shafts, knots and binets. Each candlestick is remarkably hallmarked (base, "bell" and inside binet) with the Hallmarks of Charge (a crowned A on the side) and Discharge (crowned martlet) of the Jurisdiction of PARIS 1726-32, the Hallmarks of Jurande for PARIS 1729 (N Crowned) and the Hallmarks of the Master Goldsmith Nicolas GREBEUDE (crowned Fleur de Lys, two grains, his initials "NG" and a vase) received in 1706. Extremely Rare Pair of Candlesticks from the early 18th century in very good general condition and remarkably punched, micro-scratches from use. For informed collector ....
