It is a stylized monkey with an articulated face, pigmented with blue and with eyebrows and a moustache in skin. The wood is carved in such a way as to present a short nose, a double opening for the eyes, a slightly prominent forehead and individualised teeth. The teeth are highlighted with white pigments, the lips, nostrils and inside of the eyes are highlighted with red.
The reverse side is left rough.
The Bondre are, in Topeng, the Balinese dance theatre, the common people.
