Object description :

"Gustave Madelain (1867-1944) Painting Paris The Barges The Quai De Montebello And The Cathedral Notre - Dame"
Gustave Madelain offers us a view of this emblematic place in Paris, the apse of Notre-Dame seen from the Quai de Montebello. Nothing has been forgotten by the artist: in the foreground the barges moored to the quay with their workers; the chevet of Notre-Dame and its spire which rises towards the sky. A sky washed in blue - gray with shades of pink that illuminate it. A beautiful, very detailed landscape as our artist knew how to represent them. Signed "G. Madelain" lower left. A superb palette of colors in pastel tones that will seduce you... A perfectly mastered perspective... The artist is listed in Bénézit. Dimension: 46 cm x 55 cm (format 10 F) Very good condition. On its original canvas. The painting has been cleaned by a professional. The painting is ready to hang! Possibility of frame.
