Biography
Franco Beraldo is an Italian painter born in Meolo in the province of Venice in 1944 and currently living and working in Mestre. His most recent works are oriented towards an abstraction that becomes rarefied and indefinite.
Constant artistic research
Franco Beraldo's pictorial research can truly be considered unstoppable and constant. He investigates color and its freest and fullest expression, from still lifes to landscapes to tempera paintings diluted on torn papers and then recomposed. Glass also cannot be ignored in his research; here color evolves in the transparency of glass in non-figurative solutions. The subjects are abstract and refer to natural landscapes with blurred and dreamlike contours.
Several awards and recognitions
Franco Beraldo began his artistic activity in 1965, participating in competitions, reviews, solo and group exhibitions and collecting several prizes and awards, including the first prize for painting in 1981 Burano.
