"Teak Residence Chest, India - Late Nineteenth"
Teak home chest, each side of which is made of a board, 26 mm thick, benefiting from an assembly at the corners by ten dovetails. This chest is equipped with bronze side handles, a locking system using an original functional double hook lock with key and a brass hasp. The top of this chest, refined around its perimeter by a recess, opens on three hinges and is held in place by a so-called “knee” compass. The interior offers a large storage space, a letter tray, a niche and a drawer with a lens button. This teak home chest will appeal for its solidity, the warm hue of its essence and its size.
